Proverbs 6:6-8 CSB. Go to the ant, you slacker!; observe it’s ways, and be wise. without leader, administrator or ruler. It prepares it’s food in summer. It gathers it’s food in the harvest.

This is the starting point for all human beings within the kingdom of God, work which translates to harvest. In this scripture we are being referred to an ant that is so strategic when it comes to it’s provision. It knows the time to gather and it knows the time to prepare it’s food that will translate to harvest for gathering. This because it has mastered the cycles of being. It doesn’t need a leader to guide it nor does it need an administrator to administer it’s provision. It uses the wisdom of an ant. Isn’t that amazing! Here we are being referred to the wisdom of an ant, as the ones who were given dominion in every way above even that ant. Purely because somehow, laziness has overtaken humanity so much that they have to be referred to the wisdom of an ant. This laziness is so subtle because it comes in different forms, and it’s main contributor being attitude.

Exodus 34:21 You are to labor [work] six days but you must rest on the seventh day; you must even rest during plowing and harvesting times.

The Israelites while in the wilderness, were told to collect manna for a day for 5 days, but on the 6th day they had to collect double for both 6th and 7th day, even preparation thereof. God blessed and hallowed the 7th day, He declared it a day of rest from normal labor. If we continue reading we see that in the 7th day He declared a fast to Israel. During this fast, He required them to do works of charity; to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. mhhhh! Then for six days they could go about their business. When this day is dedicated to do the good works of the Lord, He promised His glory to follow them; to hear their cry; to guide their paths; that this one day’s work would qualify as work of righteousness and that work would go before them, they would ride in the heights of the land and eat of the inheritance of Jacob (Is 58). Just one day’s work! So, if we say Jesus is the Sabbath [the Lord of the Sabbath] and the very same Jesus lives in us, what does that say about us? First and foremost, that teaches us that the Sabbath takes care of our needs, only in response to how we treat the Sabbath. Then it tells us that, our work in itself cannot yield anything, but the respect and observance of the Sabbath ensures that whatever work we do, will lead to a harvest. We don’t even need to put aside a day now to do the good works listed in Isaiah 58 and showcased by Jesus. The Lord of the Sabbath Himself did this good work everyday of the week. Therefore, so can we.

The ant does it’s preparation in summer, a season known to be wet and therefore, makes it easy for the ground to absorb the seed. As the water falls on the ground more regularly, the germination process becomes more fruitful. In this case planting is done once and only tilling thereafter applies until harvest time, which is a season after summer. Then harvesting time, it gathers and eat from such until it can plant again and harvest. We have adopted a method of working like elephants and reaping like ants purely because we have our priorities upside down. Neither do we at least have a day set aside to do good works, nor do we contribute to a mission dedicated to do these good works. Instead, seven days of the week we go about our business to take care of our own desires. Yet, Sabbath is the spiritual summer given to all humans to prepare their food. We do not prepare our provision by working hard or hustle hard. Our law in the kingdom is different to that of the world. Our preparation time is the Holy Sabbath, our spiritual summer. It is doing good works for these works are counted as righteous works, and therefore go before us to provoke the Good Lord. It is not your hard work that God counts, but the works of Sabbath. When we master this, we will see how whatever we do will yield to a harvest. It won’t matter your qualification or type of work that you do because this yields a blessing to the work of your hands, whatever that is.

One of the best companies I worked for had two divisions. It was set up to help struggling households depressed by poverty, that’s the first division. A second division was formed to collect funds through investment partnerships. This, so that the program doesn’t rely solely on grants. Few years later, the investments were all that was sustaining the program as well as the two divisions. This organisation was formed as an NPO, but the profits it was making were nothing compared to a company designed for profit making. It had nothing to do with believing in God but just the hunger for charity, to bring change and embetter the lives of others. This is an example of what respecting and observing Sabbath does. It is what Sabbath is about, God helping others through you.

So you may ask, ‘what happens to someone who would love to do something, but what they wish to do requires money but they have no money to even start?’

2 Corinthians 9:10, Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

Of course we don’t always have money to contribute or to help us do what we wish. However, in all things, Jesus is our example. He was neither rich nor did He come from a well off family. Because of such, He had no monetary seed to plant. Instead, He was the seed that God planted. If you do not have a monetary seed, become a seed, let God plant you. There are churches that run or do missionary work. There are orphanages, elderly homes, homeless shelters and many more other places you can offer your time for Sabbath. The scripture above says, God will multiply your seed and increase your harvest. Which means that as you offer yourself as a seed, He will give you more or different types of seeds in order to increase your harvest.

John 12:24, Truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat (seed) falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself. But if it dies, it produces much fruit.

Sometimes, The Lord gives us a seed in a form of employment or an idea to do something that doesn’t require start up capital. This enabling us to earn some form of an income. This then, becomes our seed to help us gain multiple seeds in order to increase our harvest. However, hunger and troubles have a way of sneaking their way in to pollute the mind and steal the seed. I don’t know how many things, or what thing you’ve heard about a tithe. I do however, want to share with you what The Lord told me it is. It is a seed. A seed that needs to be planted every season in order to produce. When you are a farmer, first you get the seeds of what you want to farm, then farm. At the end of the farming season you harvest. If what you farm requires you to buy more seed in order to farm again, out of what you make you have to set aside money for the seed so that you can continue your farming business. We call this cost of sales. If you eat the seed money, you have literally eaten the business away because you have eaten the core cost that sustains it. When you run your income statement, cost of sales would have been subtracted directly from revenue generated, this excluding other income to give you your gross profit. This is the actual produce of the business. From this produce, the company can now do what it needs to in order to meet it’s other obligations. The principle is the same even with an individual. Your actual earnings are your gross earnings. When you eat the tithe you have literally eaten the seed.

Let’s look at what this does in the famous Malachi 3:10-12

Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house.Test me in this way,” says the Lord of Armies. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not ruin the produce of your land and your vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,” says the Lord of Armies.

This heavenly seed

  • enables the provision of food for the house of the Lord, even an individual is the house of the Lord. ‘Know we ye not that your body is the temple of the Lord?’ It is like stocking up your tuck shop, which agrees with it being the cost of sales.
  • releases an outpour of blessings, which literally translates to the multiplication of the seed
  • It provokes God to rebuke the devourer from ruining our produce. The devourer is all about killing, stealing and destroying. This speaks to those problems that always rise closer to you earning your income. The devourer’s aim is to either strip you of the seed, or make sure that you never have enough so you end up eating the seed which kills the produce. So you end up working but never increasing financially, even to a point of losing the income altogether.
  • It also kills the ‘insects’ that eat the crops, yielding them to a misproduction. A misproduction is an incorrect or bad production. One puts in the work that is way more than what they actually reap. Else, they do the work but don’t receive payment or receive what is not equivalent to the work.

I know that most of us see this as irrelevant because of the first coming of Christ. However, in the first chapters of Malachi 3, the word tells us of the coming of John, then Christ before it tells us that we must bring in the tithe. I also have not yet come across a verse that tells us that tithing is no longer necessary, so I stand to be corrected if there is one.

The rule of tithing was also set in a way that they be given to the priests who would present them to the Lord. This because they were sanctified and qualified to stand before God, and offerings through them were acceptable. However, Christ removed that pathway, so we could all qualify to present our tithes and offerings directly to God. Mal 3: 3-4 tells us that Christ would purify and purge the priesthood so that the offerings would be made in righteousness, and they would please the Lord. Which means that offerings made in righteousness, carry a certain degree of yield in comparison to the other. More than that, this tells us that the tithe as a seed is the core element of wealth production, next to works of Sabbath. It is our form of production and cost of sales. If we can get that, we are half way through to good harvesting.

One of the biggest instruments used to neutralize the gospel of Christ was the formalization of the church. In the book of Acts, we read that in the time of the Apostles, the synagogue which became because of the increase in numbers never lacked anything. People who wanted to be part of the movement willingly sold their belongings and gave the money to the Apostles, who subsequently distributed the money in good proportions. This including food for the widows, orphans and any other poor. The Deacons were appointed to ensure that this function runs smoothly and without neglect. The poor are very close to God’s heart and scripture tells us that giving to them is like lending to God and He will repay that which is lent. We are also told in Ephesians 4:28 by Paul that we should steal no more, but work so we can have something to give the one in need. Meaning that we cannot in any way forget the poor.

The Lord had structured all this for us in a simple way of tithing. People’s tithes would take care of all this, including the portion of the priests who have no inheritance. However, the formalization of the church took away the portion of the priests, the poor, the orphans and the widows. A huge chunk of this now goes to the running costs of the church. This including the prosperity Pastors whose priority is to enrich themselves. Is this not then the best part of the Lord, giving us the Holy Spirit individually instead of only meeting with God in the temple? For us to be the priesthood in our own individual capacity. Which means that I can now decide to split my tithe in the original way that the Lord structured it. However, before such, I must present it to the Lord.

There were different types of offerings that Israel was required to make in their time. The two that stand out with relevance in this day is the thanksgiving and the first fruit offerings. Philippians 4:6, says we must make our requests known to God accompanied by thanksgiving. He also says in Psalm 100:4 enter His gates with thanksgiving. This is because coming before God is like coming before a King. No one comes before the king empty handed. You bring gifts and these gifts provoke the king to showcase his own glory by giving the same person gifts. Because of this, it is an advisable thing to bring a thanksgiving offering, even a freewill offering whenever one comes before the Lord. Israel was required to bring their offerings three times a year, in the periods God called them to His presence. They were instructed not to appear before God empty handed (Deut 16:10-17)

This is the language spoken now in the world by those who have a desire to grow and create wealth. At some point, stock trading was the biggest and ‘easiest’ type of investment which was made accessible to people of ‘all levels’. A lot of us fell for it because of the systems that were being sold to make it seem easy. Now, the biggest thing is investing in Bitcoin. The most unpredictable currency to invest in, a very high risk type of investment. Believe me, if you want to be involved in investments that make real money, have real money. The big players in these investment platforms first made their money mostly in shady ways. Then moved to influence the markets to make more money corruptly. This promotes a mindset of get rich quick, hence so many Ponzi and pyramid schemes. There is no such thing as get rich quick, wealth is built over time and lots of patience. The most stable kind of investments is private equity,  joint ventures, debentures and other debt instruments as well as tangible assets. Instead of property, I’ll say land. With land, it is up to you how you can convert it to income. At the least, foreign currency investment, but with a well recognized banking institution.  I could say trading CFDs also, but that is no different to gambling, although others do it on your behalf.

However, the world is changing very fast. The last thing anyone wants is to be stuck in these passive kind of investments possibly with a huge loss. This changing world will be favoring people with real money. However, that doesn’t mean one should give up or stop saving. There are still those emergency expenses that rise up every now and then. They need to be provided for. It is said that your goal for this kind of investment is 20% of your annual income at the very least. You want a stable and risk free investment for such e.g. fixed term deposit and yes, the interest is low compared to high risk but it guarantees safety on your money.

The bible tells us not to worry about tomorrow, what we will eat or drink for the Father knows what we need even before we ask. Which means God will always provide for our needs. Our attitude with money should never be about getting glory or to hold a status higher than others. It should never be about making us gods above God. Yes, we may, differently want certain lifestyles. Kings had lifestyles different to others and that was ok. But none of that should ever be a drive for you to gain wealth. Kings were entrusted with wealth because many would benefit from it and subsequently, their lifestyle would be taken care of.  Therefore, when you want a King’s wealth, first have a King’s mindset and act it before that wealth comes. That way you can be trusted with that wealth when you continue to demonstrate to God that you can through every little He gives you. This is what today we call business. Many businesses and investments are built on the foundation of earning income passively to sustain wealth and lifestyles, that is why they lack sustainability. However, businesses should be built like kingdoms, on the foundation of servicing  people. That way they will be surrendered to a partnership with the Lord. We have read of what God did for the kingdoms where He was the leading partner.

So now, let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and set him over the land of Egypt Let Pharaoh do this: Let him appoint overseers over the land and take a fifth of the harvest of the land of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. Let them gather all the excess food during these good years that are coming. Under Pharaoh’s authority, store the grain in the cities, so they may preserve it a food. The food will be a reserve for the land during the seven years of famine that will take place in the land of Egypt. Then the country will not be wiped out by the famine.” Genesis 41:33-36

There is nowhere in the bible where the Lord tells us to hustle hard or work hard to earn wealth. Instead He tells us not to labor (toil) for wealth. He is the one who gives us the ability (wisdom) to make wealth.

This then is our summary of how we can do things differently in future in order to attract wealth, increase and retain it.

  • Do the works of Sabbath
  • Plant the heavenly seed
  • Give to the poor (financially disadvantaged)
  • Offer thanksgiving offering and first fruit, even freewill offering
  • Invest in fixed and risk free investments purely for emergencies. If you can afford it, invest in land and other commodities.
  • If you need the wealth of a King, get into business and make God the leading partner, build your kingdom purely to service people, to make their lives better and the Lord will make your life better.

Believing in God, which Christ preached is not a complex thing as it might be projected. It is just believing that God exists and rewards those who diligently seek Him. We seek Him purely by obeying His law, and that is counted as righteousness as it was with Abraham. It is not enough to just say ‘I believe in Jesus Christ’, to qualify that belief it has to be accompanied by the acts of righteousness – fellowship with Christ. These acts are the ones that yield results.

God bless!

Love for Christ

The month of August in South Africa is a month in which women are  celebrated. This, founded on a march taken by women on the 9th of August in 1956 to the union buildings, to demand their own rights. That they also should be treated like a living, breathing and fit human being. So, as the magazine we are also celebrating women this month, the daughters of Zion, the lovers and the brides of Christ.

Mary Magdalene, a woman Christ delivered from seven demonic spirits was a lover of Christ. She is the same woman Christ saved from being stoned by the Jews. A sister of Martha, who sat on Jesus’s feet while Martha was busy in the kitchen. The same woman who anointed His feet before crucifixion. She became an intense follower and lover of Christ. The bible tells us that along with others, she ministered to Christ and the Apostles with her resources. She was the first at the grave to look for her master as per the promise of the third day.

Our issue this month is dedicated to this woman, the intense and unapologetic lover of Christ. An imperfect made perfect in love, in Christ. She sees no other, her heart is fully occupied by Christ. He is her beloved and she is His.

May this woman teach us how to have this kind of love for Christ.

the fiery serpent

While our norm is to feature a man or woman of God who will give us insights concerning the things of God and of the Spirit. This month we felt it important and significant as it is father’s month, that we should lift up the name of the Lord, our Father who art in heaven. Especially with everything happening this year so unexpectedly.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life – John 3:14-15. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” – John 12:32

The Lord did not take away the serpents in the wilderness to save Israel. Instead, He called on them to have faith. This year is indeed a year that has and continues to test our faith. We are indeed in a similar position as was Israel during the time of fiery serpents. It’ll take us applying the same concept that worked for Israel to sail through. Looking up to Christ.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived. – Numbers 21:8-9

As I was cooking this one day, the Holy Spirit pressed on me to hearken and write what I hear. I will detail below what I heard, then wrote and then discuss it.

“People are patiently and some reluctantly waiting for the covid-19 vaccine. What they do not know is that the vaccine has already arrived. The covid-19 itself is the vaccine. Vaccine for what? Vaccine for the new technology that is being rolled out. Many have been dying before the covid-19 rollout but their deaths not made known to the people instead concealed. These deaths, their stats were used to study the symptoms and ills caused by this technology that in some cases lead to death. The results of this study were used to formulate what is now called a disease covid-19. However this ‘disease’ was created to
– cover up for the new technology
– use as a vaccine, and
– instill fear
1)The new technology is necessary for the evil plan of centralizing the world into one. However, the side effects of this technology will kill people. The enemy doesn’t need a disease to kill people. It has been given the power to kill by the sword; famine and beasts of the earth. He needs as many people possible in the short time he has and having them under the one world gives him an upper hand. Therefore, for the technology to be installed smoothly without fire, the enemy created covid-19 exactly with the same symptoms as the symptoms that come out as a result of this technology’s radiation. Therefore, people would get used to covid-19 as a killer disease and not the new technology.
2) The same covid-19 has been created also as a vaccine. There is no vaccine to come, whatever will come is only air. That is why the spread is so vast and aggressive. People have to be vaccinated against the radiation but how do you vaccinate people without telling them what you are vaccinating them for. Many doctors are arguing that wearing masks, rejecting certain medications and sanitizing are the opposite actions of what should be done to combat the disease. However, the plan is not to combat covid-19, it is to spread it. When you have been subjected to covid-19 you have automatically been vaccinated. Those that have died from the vaccine, would have died from the radiation but the study continues to collect facts. The vaccines come in different strains and so will covid-19.
3) When the whole world is trembling from covid-19 due to people dying. The enemy is gaining tract on his plan. The plan is to cause people to tremble enough. It is to subject them to taking the ‘vaccine’. He will deceive even the elect. The vaccine, the air is only to get many to get tags, the mark of the beast. This only achievable through fear. I have not given the spirit of fear.
Why do nations rage and rulers of the world plan a vain thing? The Lord sits on His throne and indeed will ridicule them. The Lord has spoken.”

Firstly, I give honor and glory to the Most High God, whom by His Spirit gives us understanding and revelation knowledge. The words above are not mine. However, below I will share my understanding of these words…

But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” – Daniel 12:4

At the beginning of this pandemic, a lot of information spread through social media. Mostly giving people enlightenment re the 5G technology that has been installed in some places and also under plan to be rolled out. To be honest, I didn’t even know about 5G when this info came. There was a particular message, a recording that circulated on WhatsApp by a certain Pastor that used to work for Vodafone, a revelation. The revelation above on covid-19 as a cover up is only confirming what was revealed through him on 5G. I don’t know about everyone else but I love confirmations. I had to learn the hard way how important they are.

The information on 5G installation and its radiation effects is vast on the internet. I will therefore, not dwell on it.

I have recently started studying psychology, just to get basic understanding on human behavior. It was interesting to me the first thing I found out just before this revelation came.

Ivan Petrovich Pavlov was a Russian scientist who investigated the digestive system of dogs by presenting them with meat powder and measuring the amount of saliva they produced. Pavlov found that the dogs began to salivate even before the meat powder was presented as they associated the feeder with the meat powder. This led Pavlov to conclude that the dogs were conditioned to respond to the feeder through the process of classical conditioning.

Classical conditioning: This type of learning involves the repeated association of a previously neutral stimulus [feeder] with an unconditioned stimulus [meat], to elicit a conditioned response [salivate]

Researchers Watson and Raynor wanted to test the idea that fear could be acquired through classical conditioning. Their subject was Little Albert, an eleven-month-old son of a female employee at the clinic. The child’s mother knew nothing about the experiment. Watson and Raynor presented Albert with a white laboratory rat [NS] while sounding a loud noise [UCS]. Little Albert soon associated the loud noise with the white rat and was conditioned to fear the rat [CR]. This fear was then generalised to other fluffy white objects such as Santa’s beard and a sealskin coat. – extract from alison.com

The purpose of this rat experiment was to make the child fear the white fluffy rat. The noise was used as the conditioner. It already triggered the required response. While the rat would have achieved a neutral response, together with the noise the child was conditioned to associate the rat with the noise that already triggered fear.

This is the conditioning done through covid-19. Death is an unconditioned stimulus. People are generally afraid of dying. While on the other hand no one is afraid of flu. But flu associated with death will definitely trigger fear. This is the conditioned response that rulers of this world need from covid-19 to help them get people to willingly subject themselves to the ‘vaccine’. I am convinced that anyone who has had covid-19 or has been exposed to a covid-19 experience will run for the ‘vaccine’. Young and old, black or white, rich or poor, believer or nonbeliever will deem it necessary. It doesn’t even matter the fact that there is no proof that the covid-19 death stats are real, or if people are dying from other causes during the covid-19 time. Therefore, they are dying to covid-19. Just the fact that the rate of transmission is so high accompanied by death stats is enough to condition the subjects.

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. – Matthew 24:24

One of the wonders that Jesus performed was the miraculous healing. I had to check the definition of a messiah the other day out of interest. [a leader regarded as the savior of a particular country, group, or cause.]

First let’s discuss scientific facts about vaccines

a preparation containing usually killed or weakened microorganisms (as bacteria or viruses) that is given usually by injection to increase protection against a particular disease.

Did you hear someone saying they were given injections while in hospital under covid-19 recovery supervision? I did…

So a vaccine is a preparation of killed or weakened viruses given to protect one against viruses. e.g. a flu vaccine is a preparation of killed or weakened flu bacteria or virus given to one for protection against flu. But we all know this, right?

How does it work?

A vaccine works by training the immune system to recognize and combat pathogens, either viruses or bacteria. To do this, certain molecules from the pathogen must be introduced into the body to trigger an immune response. These molecules are called antigens, and they are present on all viruses and bacteria.

Do we want to join the doctors and ask why we are wearing masks, knowing that this will lead to us continuously subjecting ourselves to the virus if one already has it? Are we not training the immune system?

I have heard a few people saying that after taking the shot they fell ill. This is said to usually be mild side effects of the vaccine.

So if the vaccines are usually given by way of injection, how can covid-19 be a vaccine when it is transmitted by small droplets released from coughing, sneezing or talking that fall on a surface?

Firstly, the droplets are pathogens, they are infectious. Vaccines contain pathogens, weakened or killed. It’s not about the form of subjection, it’s about the virus being imposed.
Secondly, the vaccines are taken to train the immune system to recognize the virus and respond with a fight. Our bodies are being subjected to covid-19 so that it can train the immune system to recognize and respond to the virus. That is why it has been said that the most who have passed had underlying illnesses, their immune system was weak to fight. We are being trained so that we are able to withstand the effects of 5G.

Suddenly there is medication being made available soon strictly manufactured for covid-19. However, the vaccine is not yet ready and it takes 18 – 24 months to prepare one except for trials underway. Because that will be enough time to repeatedly subject people to the conditioned stimulus of death and flu. Enough to cause them to run for the “vaccine”. While in the meanwhile another strain of covid-19 is being made ready for distribution.

When Israel in Edom got saturated by poisonous snakes, them crying to Moses didn’t move God to remove the snakes. Instead He ordered that Moses design a snake and put it up on a pole so that whoever looked up to the pole would be healed.

The rulers of the world are planning a vain thing against God. When the enemy comes in like a flood He raises the standard. While they took this ‘vaccinate against 5G’ action, God took the opportunity to pour out grace. The battle is the Lords and the battle is for the body and soul. Subjecting people to the ‘vaccine’ means Satan gaining many bodies and souls. He can only do that through fear.

In conclusion, there is never anything new under the sun. What is happening now might have different features, but it has happened before and the children of God survived it through God. It won’t help us to fear or worry, instead, we must shift our focus from all of this and find a new way of living through these circumstances rather than clamping ourselves up or rebelling. The governmental lock downs are enough, let us not let them extend to our minds as well. Unfortunately, if God didn’t take away the serpents we are also possibly going to have this problem for a long time. Therefore, I am all for the medication than I am for the vaccine especially for the children of God. Forgive my ignorance, but I don’t understand what vaccination would actually do at this stage. If it had come before the breakout of the virus, it would have made sense to vaccinate people in order to guard against it. But the disease is spreading like fire on dry grass and it’ll continue to do so. Which for me indicates that we need a different way to deal with it than vaccination. I believe that while the rulers of this world have started this problem, God will finish it in a way that glorifies Him. Therefore, I wait in faith for such a time.

May the Lord open our eyes that we may see His wondrous works!

the giant panda

And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat came from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power. And I saw him confronting the ram; he was moved with rage against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand. ~ Daniel 8: 5-7~

The interpretation of this vision to Daniel indicates that the goat that attacks the ram is the kingdom of Greece. A kingdom that dethrones the kingdom of Medo-Persia. History tells us that Medo-Persia was a kingdom founded by Cyrus the great, which consisted of Asia, Europe and Africa. Greece took over the Persian empire in its conquest adding to its own, which includes Russia; Saudi Arabia; Turkey, Egypt and the surrounding, making the Greek Empire the biggest in history under Alexander the great.

Daniel 7 on the other hand interprets a vision to Daniel, where he saw four beasts coming out of the great sea which were a lion; a bear; a leopard and an unnamed great beast. Beasts that were interpreted to Daniel as kingdoms that will rule on earth until the reign of the kingdom of God, Medo-Persia represented by the bear while Greece is represented by the leopard. The bear in this vision was seen to be having three ribs in between its teeth and commanded to devour more flesh. Is it not interesting then that the national symbolic animal for China is the giant panda, the bear?

China has now been named the world’s leading economy after reporting a 4.9% GDP growth despite the covid-19 pandemic. It also has the leading economy in Asia, which makes it the economic leader in the Medo-Persian kingdom classified by history. It is very clear that China’s push to become the world’s leading currency is now a swift approaching possibility than just a prediction. Its leadership would put behind it America and Europe with their currencies. Economies that have led the world for a very long time with no competition. This would qualify the kingdom of Persia’s successful overthrow of the Babylonian kingdom, the bear rising up after the lion-eagle beast. However, it can also reflect the approaching kingdom of Greece through Turkey, Russia and Asia.

“Also in the first year of Darius the Mede, I, even I, stood up to confirm and strengthen him.) And now I will tell you the truth: Behold, three more kings will arise in Persia, and the fourth shall be far richer than them all; by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece. Then a mighty king shall arise, who shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. And when he has arisen, his kingdom shall be broken up and divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not among his posterity nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be uprooted, even for others besides these. ~ Daniel 11:1-4~

What does this then mean for the children of God?

It is during the reign of Cyrus the Medo-Persian king that Israel was released from captivity by Babylon, to go and build the temple of God. The separation of church and state which became mostly as a result of Protestantism gives a symbolic indication of such, the release of Israel to go and build the temple of God. However, throughout this period, it was also the reign of the Rev 13:11 beast which had two lamb like horns and spoke like a dragon, the false prophet. The era of the false prophet is leading humanity to the mark of the beast, while the rise of China is slowly taking us to the reign of the Greek empire. While there is not much to have happened against the people of God during the takeover of Alexander the Great, the kingdom that came after him led to the martyr of Christians.

For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion … ~ Romans 11:25~

Rebekah’s mind

And he said to them, “Do not hinder me, since the Lord has prospered my way; send me away so that I may go to my master.” So they said, “We will call the young woman and ask her personally.” Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?”
And she said, “I will go.” – Genesis 24:56-59

How amazing is it that Rebekah had not even seen the man she was to be married to when Abraham’s servant came to get her. Yet she opened her heart and mind to the idea, ready to step into the role that was being presented to her even when the family wanted to delay her by ten days.

I do believe that the way marriage was conducted in the biblical and olden days in some instances, was the best although not perfect. This day, everyone speaks of love. People marry each other because of the feelings they derive from each other and the pleasure thereof, and that is the love that determines marriage. What interests me is that, to begin with, the attraction that leads to that marriage would be determined by the desire that one individual has and wishes to get from the one they date. A man gets attracted to a woman by the physical attributes that he prefers in a woman, for whatever reason. Then a woman gets attracted by the words that come out of his mouth, which make her believe that the man can satisfy her needs. There is no love there. It is just two people getting into each other’s lives to satisfy their desires. Both of them, in that space have no mind to consider other things that will be part of their union. It is only the desires that can be satisfied that matter. They then decide to get to know each other, and by that it means they get to explore the satisfaction of these desires by the other, outside of marriage. With satisfaction and a certain level of maturity, then marriage.

First of all, as individuals we grow and as we grow we change. What I enjoyed when I was 20 I can nolonger enjoy when I am 40. Therefore, I have to ask myself, will the person I am with at that particular point of my life be able to accomodate my growth? We’ve heard people say, ‘you are not the person I marriage years ago’. So this person was supposed to be the same, no growth and therefore no change in order to accommodate the same desires they had all those years ago. I am not sure what level of selfishness is that.

Secondly, you have to take time to know yourself especially as a woman. A lot of women this day are stuck in relationships and marriages they pressured themselves to get into when they didn’t even understand themselves. Imagine being stuck in a box. The space of movement is limited beyond measure, and you are suffocating. That causes irritation and this irritation is bound to pour out to those around. When you do not know yourself, you will settle for whatever comes your way wrapped in an image that looks like what you believe you need. A lot of women settle, purely because women were never created to be alone. The noise of the desire to be with someone is unbearable, besides just the external pressures. The unfortunate thing is that the man would be knowing what he wants and when a woman settles, they literally subject themselves to becoming the woman the man wants and not who they truly are. Which leads to them being stuck in a box, suffocating and irritable. My! that would definitely be felt by everyone around as she will be slowly dying in silence, confusion and misery which would ultimately lead to resentment then bitterness.

Thirdly, know what you are carrying. If you don’t know what God has placed in you, you will go around mistreating yourself because of the misplacement of the gift you are carrying. The gift in you is meant to help you fulfill your mandate on earth. However, when you misplace yourself you misplace the gift and therefore forsake your mandate.  A young lady, had a gift of giving life to a person’s potential. She would recognise the potential and by default feel the passion and desire to help the person with such to get them to a place where they can see, accknowledge and unpack the potential. However, she didn’t know that this gift was aligned with her purpose. So she ended up dating men who had nothing of their own but potential. Her calling would then step in naturally, leading her to try and help the man. The problem is that, when you don’t know what you are carrying you cannot prune it so as for it to yield perfect fruit. Therefore, you overstrech yourself wanting to see result. Which means you need the giver of the gift to help you discover and prune the gift so it can yield it’s fruit. Jesus said in John 15, without me you can bear no fruit. He is the vine and Father is the vine dresser. A lot of women abuse themselves in relationships or marriages where they are not appreciated. If you want to see a grateful person, give them something that they need. In most relationships, women are giving to men things the man is not in need of. Because of such they are unappreciated, and they subsequently feel drained. You cannot help a man be a CEO if he is comfortable being a manager. You will be frustrated trying to help him see what he doesn’t want to see. That is why Jezebel knows how to destroy men. She knows well their aspirations. Do the aspirations of your man match up to what you can help him with? God uses the mind of a woman as a fertile ground. It is a spiritual womb. He plants whatever seed He needs to see manifest in a woman. That is why even Satan went to Eve and not Adam. He was never going to achieve what he wanted with him, which is conception, pregnancy and birth of evil. He needed a womb for that, the mind of a woman. So if you are misplaced as a woman, you are useless to God. Hence the Samaritan woman ended up with 6 men until Jesus. She kept on being misplaced and boxed until the Lord saved her.

We have to understand and agree that most of us married before we got to know ourselves. The question is, once you find out who you are and the person you are with is a total mismatch of who you are, what do you do? I cannot give you an answer to that, it is between each individual and their God. There is nothing difficult for God.

The arranged marriages were formed on the basis of what could be achieved from that marriage, not love. We have already established that no one is attracted to the other by love, love grows while they are already together and this was the known case even back then. A marriage without a purpose is already dead even before it begins. Hence the arrangers had to determine the purpose first.

When you are a woman, you need a mind of a Queen. A Queen understands that it is not about them, but about the people. We are not here on this earth in this phase of life to pleasure ourselves, but to please God. Our own pleasure comes when we first please God because He then facilitates it as He knows how. He knew us even before we were formed, so He would know better what would truly give us pleasure. So when you connect with a man first because of what it seems like they can give you concerning your desires, you have already missed the mark. Your first point of check is God’s mandate. You won’t know it at first glance, so you have to search it out. You have to see where God is fitting you in his life, the lives of that man’s family and community around him. Therefore, you follow God and not a desire. It is that knowledge that will keep you in the marriage, fighting tooth and nail no matter what is thrown at you. Because you know God’s mandate and your responsibility is to God and not to man. That is the mind of a Queen. Where there is God, there is love so love will definitely grow.

The bible says, Rebekah and Isaac were so drawn to each other at first sight. That is what following God does. It becomes an unexplainable attraction because God’s mandate for the two people would have connected, enacting the physical connection. Rebekah fulfilled her mandate with Isaac through her actions concerning Jacob.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. – Genesis 25:23

May God grant you wisdom to know yourself, what you are carrying and what your mandate is concerning those around you, and the strength to let God connect you with the real you.

The most interesting role of a scribe is to tell in writing a story, not from their own information but as a report of what has been presented to them, and this is done in many ways and in many languages e.g. an accounting language. As a result, scribes are now in every industry. This is one of the gifts that the Lord has given to me, that of a scribe.

This month we focus on what it means to be a living sacrifice. The times are folding and we each have to take proper position in order for us to be the proper sacrifices on earth as intended by God. With that said, I want to just share a short ‘tale’ on Revelation 13 from an angle of a scribe’s focus on the spiritual aspect of the chapter. We have seen interpretations of this chapter, with focus on physical representations on earth of these animals mentioned, but let’s look at the broader spiritual aspect of it.

There was a Beast in the sea, Leviathan also known as number 666 that had seven heads, ten horns and ten crowns. one of its heads was fatally wounded by the sword. A fatal wound imposed on its head by The Lord as explained in Job 41:7b. In heaven there also appeared a red dragon with seven heads, ten horns and seven crowns. This red dragon is said to have made war in heaven, attempting to devour the male child that was to be born, but with dismal fail. This Dragon is said to be Satan, Devil and an ancient serpent. However, this very Satan now referred to as a Dragon was created a cherub, perfect in his ways until iniquity was found in him, iniquity that turned him into a dragon with seven heads and crowns plus ten horns. He got cast down to earth and while on earth, he came after the woman who gave birth to the male child in heaven, but got defeated. Then he gave his throne, authority and great power to the Sea-Beast, the leviathan. This Beast had Satan’s authority over people on earth for 1260 years, causing people to worship the dragon that gave it its power. After its period of authority (reign), the Sea-Beast gave its power to another Beast from the land that had two horns of a lamb but spoke as a dragon, a False Prophet. The False Prophet had the same power as that of the Sea-Beast and caused the people to worship the Marine-Beast, deceiving them through miracles and wonders that he was doing by the power of this Marine-Beast. Towards the end of his reign, the False Prophet, he caused the people on earth to make an image, to take on the nature of the Sea-Beast through impartation, so that those who would not take the nature of the Sea-Beast would be killed. Then by the mark, the name or the number identifying one as one who is of the Sea-Beast, could buy and sell, qualifying the official reign of the Dragon.

As the living beings we are in this first phase of earth as sacrifices but the only question is, to whom, God or Satan? The story above tells us that from the time Satan was found to be with iniquity there was an evil reign with power being transferred from one beast to another. A transfer that’ll eventually lead to people assuming this power as individuals by means of impartation from a false prophet, leading to the death of those who choose as rebellion against Satan, to be sacrificed to God. The false prophet has for many years been operating through the church and other forms of spirit media, prophesying by means of marine power, divination. It is the same prophets who have the power to transfer the nature of the Sea-beast to individuals, facilitating the martyr of those to be sacrifice to God.

Either way, whatever choice you make as a living sacrifice, the end result is death. You are the one who is to choose if your death will be eternal or if it’ll yield to life. I pray that God gives you wisdom to choose as you go through this issue.

We have been blessed by Christ our Lord with each other, we are each other’s platform to serve according to the instruction of Christ. However, time comes when we have to separate ourselves from each other. Not because we no longer like each other or no longer want each other’s company, but because at that particular point in time Christ would be sending us to different directions.

But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. 39 Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; 40 but Paul chose Silas and departed – Acts 15

The disagreement between these two was not so great that they had to separate. They had far better joy working together than to be separated by a difference in opinion. However, it was not the disagreement that separated them, it was instead time for them to go apart. What Christ had brought them together in that specific season for was accomplished.

Our relationships with others cannot supercede that of Christ. He is the one whom we have a permanent relationship with and because of that, our relationship with Him supercedes every other relationship we have with others. A semi permanent relationship He has given to us is one with a spouse. It is semi because the spouse can die, or the two can be separated by divorce. However, nothing can separate us from Christ except ourselves. Children grow and follow their own paths, so even families grow apart.

Galatians 2 tells us of a situation that occurred in Antioch when Peter came to visit the brethren. Before this situation, scripture tells us that Paul had first gone to Jerusalem to visit the Apostles as instructed by the Holy Spirit. Whilst he was there, he disclosed to them all the work he had done with the gentiles, this to get affirmation from the people who had walked with Christ directly as he says,  ‘lest I have laboured in vain’. Indeed the Apostles affirmed his track to be right. However, one of these same Apostles, when in Antioch his behaviour changes, which kind of raises controversy.

Again, such disputes Christ allows them to arise so as for Him to remain Christ. Peter knew the truth, but for some reason he didn’t act it at that time. In this case, Paul is made to rise up and correct the error. We first have to realise that this is the same Paul who learned everything directly from the Holy Spirit, yet he needed affirmation from the Apostles. In this scenario we see Christ asserting Himself in Paul’s ministry again by bringing a dispute between him and Peter. He can never have us putting others above Himself so as to always remember that He is the final word. Yes, have those you respect and hold highly as more knowledgeable and mature than you, but Christ has the final say.

Being in Christ teaches us never to be attached in relationships, such that we defy His instruction when it is time to leave things behind.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. – Matthew 10:37

He wants to come above all relationships that we have. Whenever He sends us on an assignment or place us wherever He needs us to be, He gives us people or a companion to work with. But, sometimes we tend to define the relationship for ourselves instead of allowing Christ who has brought us together to define it. We then find ways to stay in each other’s lives even when time has come for us to part, for the purpose of that relationship in that particular season would have been fulfilled. It is not to say we must do away with each other completely, it is just to say we should learn to be attached only to Christ and He will continuously bring us together whenever He needs us to work together. This is what He did even with Paul and Barnabas, He got them to reconcile when it was necessary.

Even in the world of business we understand that loyalty has an expiry date, otherwise it can cost you. Friendships even, people outgrow each other as they move through different aspects of life. You might say that “we have been friends for so and so years and our friendship has withstood the tests of time”, but the real question is – did it withstand or is it just that you refuse to grow?

We are to nature our children to adulthood; honor our parents; love and submit to our spouses and love our brethren. Anything beyond that is not a must do, so as to keep our focus purely and fixed on Christ. He is the one who will organise our relationships as and when He deems it necessary. Therefore, let us learn to love one another but be less attached to each other, so as to be attached to Christ.

a sound mind

Is that not something we all wish to have? A mind that is sound is calm, it reasons well, unnerved by anything and can dilute rage or anger with its response of kindness.

We live under conditions that are literally fuel to stress. If we are not suffering from spasms, muscle tension or flu in response to stress, we are suffering from insomnia or different types of headaches. Our daily lives force us to constantly be on a run, chasing after this and that so much that rest is treasure. It’s a benefit that people cannot afford. There is even a saying that ‘sleep is for the dead’. So, to keep awake, people drink alcohol, energy drinks and high caffeinated coffees. Else, they just head straight for drugs. It is an active world of hassling and hasslers do not sleep.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

These things bring about love; peace and joy when one focuses their mind on them. The more one absorbs them, the more content is infused into their minds.

Every single stressed person has their mind on money. How they can make some, more or extra, how they can do well at their workplaces so as to maintain their work position, even to earn that promotion.  All of this purely to maintain or achieve a certain lifestyle or status. So, all this stress is a case of status and lifestyle. It’s like pouring water on the grass expecting it to wash away, instead it grows. When everyone is overworked; overtired; dissatisfied; feeling a certain void and hungry for something they don’t know they become annoyed; irritable and angry. Because of this we have a world full of people who are ready to fight each other, scream or snap at each other or just show each other off.

What can we do?

To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic – Luke 6:29

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink for in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you. – Proverbs 25 21-22

Ecclesiastes 10:4
If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, don’t leave your place; for gentleness lays great offenses to rest.

These are just examples of what we should be doing when faced with such people. Misery loves company for real. Therefore, it’ll pull towards itself just about anyone who is willing to entertain it. But the bible is full of verses that tell us to respond differently to those who provoke us. Why’s that?

All things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28

There is a law of life, whatever you do yields a result. Accounting says, for every debit there is a credit. While actions give a result, words form into energy and yield a result. There is nothing under the sun that one can do that they will not be held accountable for, nothing. Bible says there will come a time when we will have to account for every careless word that has left our mouths [Mat 12:36].

An old lady I used to work with, used to say to me – don’t mind anyone forming evil against you for they are heaping the same thing they are doing for their children. Now, this was someone who had understood that, even if they don’t see a person being paid back for their evil, it will still come even on to the generations after them.

Vengeance is mine,  I will repay, says the Lord – Romans 12:19

Everything has been designed in a way that every action yields a result, and the word of God is the word of a King, it stands and He will perform it. So if the rule of life has been set that an action yields a result, if that action deserves God’s vengeance, it’ll yield God’s vengeance. God watches over His own and He hates evil. So you can rest assured that even if it’s a stranger on the road who deals against you, they’ll be repaid for their actions. That is why Jesus said, turn the other cheek. When you do that you are allowing them to heap coal upon themselves.

Even a thief that has stolen is said in Provebs 6:31 that they must repay whatever they stole if they get caught. In Exodus 22:3 it says that should they have nothing to repay they will be sold to enslavement to recoup what they have stolen. This is the God we serve who has designed things this way so that no one is robbed of victory.

With all that said children of God, be at rest with yourself, be careful for nothing and let your mind be sound in all your doings; your responses to others and your actions pertaining to life, knowing that whatever you do will yield a result even what they do to or for you will yield a result, be it good or bad – positive or negative. Do not be tempted to avenge yourself or fight anyone, instead let a godly manner take shape in your heart and manifest the glory of God in the physical. For all things are designed so that He remains God and the one who always takes the glory.

I do not accept glory from man – John 5:41 ; It is a glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search it out – Proverbs 25:2 ; My people perish because of lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6

We have all heard of the saying – ‘knowledge is power’. However, we have been locked into nothingness by the same power of knowledge, the enemy knowing things that humanity is not previewed to and utilizing that knowledge for his benefit. It is his power over humanity. When one lacks knowledge, they lack power regardless of what they might have accumulated in material, purely because of the fact that the manner in which something has been accumulated can be argued. The question is, how is it, that we lack knowledge which is power, when Jesus has given us the Spirit of power, loaded with knowledge?

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you – John 14:26

We can all agree that we are all knowledgeable to a certain degree. We study, we are qualified, we read news and keep up to date. Above all, we go to church on Saturday or Sunday, listen to sermons and read the bible. So, how is it that we could still be lacking knowledge with all that …?

Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.” Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? – John 7:16;19

Knowledge that comes from information that is not from God is futile. It does not afford us the kingdom benefits. The measure at which our knowledge is measured in the kingdom of God is the word of God. When one claims to have the knowledge, the expectation is that they can utilize that knowledge to at least benefit themselves. This is the same with the word of God. It is rich, an inheritance of kings. So why is it that we find the same people who claim to know God at the worst end of the stick?

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:29-30

The key is the yoke. A yoke is synonymous to a burden or bondage. It is something used to bind two things together so that they can move in harmony. When you are in bondage you are literally a slave to a master. Yours is to please the master, and in exchange the master takes care of your needs. Therefore, to be under the yoke of Christ means that He is the Master and the individual is a slave. First and foremost, this is what needs to be understood. However, Christ doesn’t force anyone to this arrangement. One has to willingly agree to this in order for it to work, because two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement [Amos 3:3]. A yoke then affirms this agreement so that Christ and the individual can become walking partners in harmony. This yoke in institutions is called policy, because every institution understands that for it to operate successfully, there are certain laws to be adhered to. It is not different with Christ. The kingdom of God has its own policy, the law that Moses gave to the people, which is written in the book of law – the bible. This law is the actual yoke of Christ, the bondage or burden of Christianity. There is no working around the policy in any institution. It is either you abide by it or you don’t, and there are consequences for not abiding by it. It is the same with the law of the kingdom of God, non-abidance yields consequences. This happens not necessarily that it is to enforce the law, but that life in general has a law – every action yields a result. This policy of the kingdom of God only brings into knowledge and understanding this general law of life and helps us make choices that yield best results. Hence Christ says, my burden is light. His burden actually saves us than it binds us.

Once we agree to Christ mastering us and subsequently taking His yoke, the next thing is to learn from Him. Of course He has given us a teacher, His Spirit to teach us all things. This means that the Spirit of Christ is ready and waiting to pass on to us all the knowledge necessary for us to have in order to lead a fruitful life. Not only pass it on, but also help us to apply it which translates to wisdom. We know very well what wisdom did for Solomon. So if we do not learn from Christ, the Son of God who is the source of everything in existence and has the actual facts about everything, how are we then measuring our knowledge? This knowledge referred to as power given to us. It is what sets us above Satan, kingdoms, principalities, rulers and strongholds.

The bible tells us that Abraham the father of faith, it is in His obedience, belief in God that he earned righteousness. It is only after this count that what was promised to Him was established. I know that most of us say that we are now saved by grace and therefore, do not need to do the law, Jesus died so we can live and I agree. However, we will be judged by our words, actions and works because these qualify our faith. At the same time, we understand that every action yields a result, be it favorable or not. Having been saved by grace does not mean that we have been afforded an opportunity to speak and act recklessly, or do not what the word of God commands. He expects us to be holy as He is holy and that means abiding by His commands. This is why scripture says we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places, yet our lives speak a different statement. We are constantly rejecting the yoke.

So when the Lord says it is our glory (weight, power, wealth) to search out all that the Lord has concealed, it means our Glory is concealed in knowledge. The more we know, the more powerful we become, both to stand against the enemy as well as to lead a successful and abundant life. So as the children of God, our Glory doesn’t come from men; material possessions or earthly status. Our glory comes from God, the maker of heaven and earth and the revealer of all secrets. These secrets are hidden in Christ and are revealed to us through the Holy Spirit when we have taken the yoke. Our riches are not material but in knowledge. When we don’t realise this, we will continue seeking affirmation, approval and applause from people. Else, we will continue chasing after material riches or possessions because we believe that the more money or more education will afford us acknowledgement and satisfaction. However, that is pure explanation of idolatry.

Blessed are the poor in spirit for the kingdom of God is theirs – Matthew 5:3.

The poor physically are very rich spiritually because of their faith, which is the currency of the kingdom of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Hearing the word of God is due to the soul absorbing it and transferring it to the body to act it out. Because God has wrapped up every kingdom secret in His word, those then that are rich in faith which comes by hearing the word of God are heirs of the kingdom of God. They have inherited the kingdom. You cannot inherit the kingdom without faith, you cannot have faith without hearing the word of God, you cannot hear the word of God unless you come to listen to Christ, you cannot listen to Christ without your eyes of understanding being opened, and they cannot be opened unless you invite Him in and again, take His yoke.

Seek not power from the physical or outside world, seek it from the inner man. You cannot defeat Satan by physical acquisitions, you defeat him through knowledge. Flip the script, instead of seeking material possessions or glory from men, seek the kingdom through the Spirit of God who is the teacher, helper, guide and revealer of secrets to those who love God. He is the giver of glory (wealth) to man, which is knowledge. But remember, you can never finish God. Hence no eye has seen nor ear has heard what God has prepared for those who love Him. So, for as long as you live, you seek.

Christ transforms us from glory to glory, so the more you know the more you are elevated in glory. However, it is important to know that this knowledge is like the story of the three men that were given talents. When you sit on the knowledge it’ll yield nothing for you, you have to act on it. That is wisdom and it is through wisdom that you will move from glory to glory (wealth). So whatever you learn, put it to practice and continue seeking more knowledge to put to practice. Your life will then take shape based on what you know and are utilizing.

It is the rejection of the yoke that is causing Christians to be worse off than they should. Without His yoke we cannot learn from Him, so whatever other form of learning His word we use, it becomes futile if we cannot apply it by His Spirit which enables us.

because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children – Hosea 4:6

Cares and burdens

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
 – John 14:27

Perhaps we should start by asking ourselves as the children of God, why we are so heavily burdened and troubled when Christ has called us to peace and freedom? We minister that on the cross, all things were crucified with Him, His work was finished, yet we are carrying the same struggles heavily on our shoulders day in and day out.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28

Beginning of 2019 I prayed to God for one thing, rest. I didn’t want to toil anymore. I imagined this rest that it’d come in a certain form, but Christ instead said, ‘come and sit on my feet’. The whole year He was teaching me how to rest in Him by just trusting Him in every situation. I realised that you can never truly say that you believe until you learn to rest in Christ.

Most of the burdens and cares that we toil with, all the sorrow we have carried throughout our lives, 90% of them were either passed on to us either by family, or relationships we have had along the way. The expectations we live to meet. The need to help and the desire for acknowledgment or to be seen. Some are just mere troubles that were passed down through the family line. If you just try to examine all that has troubled you all your life and still does, you will realise that it is very little what truly is your problem.

When I was a child I had such deep love for a certain family member. However, this member did all things that made me feel rejected. This built a foundation of rejection in my heart. Such that I lived through life trying to please and ‘help’ others, and whenever I had done so I’d have such fulfillment. That became a definition of who I was, and my whole reputation was founded on that – helping and pleasing others. God crumbled all that reputation to fix me up and to set Himself as a foundation of my reputation. It was so painful because, this meant that I now had nothing to help define who I was. Then He made me understand why the family member acted the way they did back then. Which made me understand that even they were carrying burdens that were not theirs and passing them on to others.

When a woman for example, who has children, stays in an abusive relationship or marriage, because of her low self esteem that was caused by someone else, the children absorb the effects of that and their lives are somewhat shaped by those effects in a direction of burden and sorrow. They grow to become negative contributors to society because of that choice.
When a father had dreams that he never got to fulfill because of this and that, and is now passing on those dreams to his son, the son carries his burden.
When a mother who had bad experiences in marriage or relationships interferes with the love life of her daughter, she makes her carry her burdens.
When you were a child and everyone saw you as a prospective human being and made it known to you, and you live your life trying to live up to those expectations, you are carrying their burdens shaped as expectations.

But what do you truly want for yourself, can you even tell, do you even know or you are so stuck in the desires of others for you?

Time has come for the children of God to offload burdens from their shoulders. The sorrow, the anger, resentment and bitterness caused by the iniquity and the expectations of others has caused all the people of God to move through life heavily burdened. Those heavy loads each person tries to lift them off through bitter utterances; ill treatments; expectations; abuse, arrogance and pride.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6

To govern is to rule; control over; guide, direct etc. It is to have authority to set a certain order or precedence. To direct the ways of the people and to give them direction. The one who governs carries the burdens of those they govern. The government in itself is the set institution responsible to bring this responsibility to manifestation. Christ is said to be the carrier of the government, the institution responsible for bringing order, direction and guidance to the people as well as carry their burdens. Because of the knowledge of this responsibility upon Himself, He tells us all to bring our cares and burdens unto Him [in prayer, supplication and  thanksgiving], in exchange He will give us rest – peace that surpasses all understanding. Instead we toil and become anxious because we somehow feel that we can carry our own burdens and those of others, then we crash through life. We always crash and fail because we are not called nor equipped to carry these burdens, but to love God who then guides us to how to love others enough to be a sacrifice for them, instead of carrying their burdens.

How can we love each other, if all we place on each other is expectation; selfish desires, anger and resentment? Christ gave Himself but never compromised Himself. It is through compromising ourselves for others that we become bitter and resentful. His love for us was kept intune by the love He had for the Father. He understood that the Father loves everything that He has created and can use each as a sacrifice but not a compromise. So He uses us to be a sacrifice for others in love because every sacrifice carries a reward and the reward is with Him.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. – Hebrews 11:13

We have to offload our burdens unto Christ, everything troubling our hearts and minds we must surrender it all to Him. Even the thoughts  and judgements of others that we know will follow our decision, Christ will take care of it all. Our responsibility is to guard our hearts for no one can guard another’s heart.

Freedom is being light and free in your heart and mind from all things. The world says ‘do you’, but I say free yourself that you may be light enough for the Spirit of God to do through you. When you are able to do such,  you are a step closer to knowing who you really are. When you choose to please others, automatically you forsake God and subsequently yourself. Then you become a problem in society rather than a solution.

May God bless you with the willing spirit to surrender all burdens to Christ, pay less attention to people’s actions and demands so you can  genuinely love them.

Re …

2020 is slowly approaching the end, and my! It has truly showed us what it means to be subjected. I am sure that by now we all realise that truly, submission is better that subjection, and obedience is better than sacrifice. The effects of our actions and choices we are seeing in our lives, climate change and our bodies.

Yes, it is said that the actual spring kicks in on the 22nd of September in the southern region, but to actually be in winter on the 1st of September was truly something new. It all just reflects that the world is changing and we should also be changing with it.

With that said, this month we want to focus on money, yes money! A lot of people have heard the prosperity gospel, ‘seed, sow, tithe, offer and you’ll reap’. Quite frankly I don’t know how many people fell for that, and also I don’t know if there are people who actually ‘reaped’, except those who were benefiting directly from the seed-sow-tithe-offer campaign. However, Spring is known to be a season for ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth – a lot of re. For me ‘re’ means start over in a different way, applying a new meaning and a new definition replacing the old, but for the same goal or intention. So we are focusing or ‘re’ where money is involved.

This money issue is ideal for those who wish to take a different approach to managing their finances.

No matter the circumstances, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, so when we are clouded with darkness we should never give up or lose hope. I believe that the spring season is literally and spiritually, a turning point season in every person’s life. Therefore, as we move through it, let us be mindful of the fact that the wheel of our lives is turning and we must be flexible enough to adapt to the change.

May we be blessed with wisdom!

gutter to glory

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having a spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be Holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27

Woman, a daughter of Zion and a bride inherited by Christ. The Father has created all humanity and by nature, all men are His children. However, not all of us can be co-heirs with Christ. This because of the choice we have made that excludes some of us from partaking in the benefits of the kingdom of God.

Christ, having been in the world understands the temptations and challenges of the world, and also that just by being members of Adam’s lineage, we are sinners. We have not chosen to be sinners, but our lineage made us inherit problems we probably might have avoided. So, Christ inherited a lot of defiled women as wives, but His mercy promises to cleanse women to present them to Himself blameless. There is a lot of judgement placed upon women in the world specifically based on their behavior. Except no one, especially those who judge make an effort to understand the history and the contributing factors to the way women behave in this day. There is a lot of exhortation around the issue of equality, which sort of gives women a platform to try and make themselves valued. The whole society has made women feel unworthy, valueless, sex objects or just wives whose place belongs in the kitchen. In response to these labels, women also embraced them as what defines them. Those who fight for equality are the ones pursuing a career or business and want to be recognized in the industries they are in. But what does this then say about society at large? Is it that the role of a woman was originally defined by God as a mere thing that men can survive without? Or is it that because of lack of understanding, men fail to place women in a more productive and substantial role in their lives?

A woman used by the scribes and the Pharisees to trap Jesus into a corner is one example of a mindset of men towards women. Those men who view women as mere sex objects.

Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say? – John 8:3-5

In this scripture they did not take into account that this woman is a person and the least that can be done is to treat her with respect. Instead, they saw her as an object that they could use to achieve their own selfish goal with Christ. Had Christ said, ‘do as Moses commands’, the poor woman would have been stoned to death for absolutely nothing. Many are these women who have been turned to prostitutes by men who purely see them as objects of satisfaction for their greed, for power and wealth, some just to fill their lustful desires. Same men then turn and label these women, when they are the ones who corrupted them. Yes, you might say, some are not forced. Christ’s response below would beg to differ …

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” – John 8:11

A pure and blameless Jesus does not condemn her for her actions, instead He delivers her by command from the bondage of sin. So who is a mortal sinful man who has no understanding, to condemn any promiscuous woman? Jesus saw beyond what was presented to Him by sight or word. He saw deep in the spirit and therefore, would understand the actions of any person based on truth and not perception. Jesus helped her instead, but many men like these destroy even further a woman that is already at her low state, then turn and put a label on her.

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”  – Luke 10:38-40

A woman’s first instinct to show a guest that they are welcomed is to prepare for them something to drink or food. Martha immediately steps into this position when Jesus visits their home. It always seems like one woman is never enough to make these preparations, hence Martha expected Mary to assist. This tradition would have been passed down from mothers to daughters. Any woman failing to step into such position is deemed as lazy. Yet another label given to a woman who doesn’t meet people’s expectations. It is what Martha is expecting of Jesus when she approaches Him, to rebuke Mary for her laziness, as He was a teacher. However, Jesus sings a different tune …

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” – Luke 10:41

Now, for a man who sees the role of a woman in the kitchen, or another woman who has learned this as tradition, that women belong in the kitchen, Jesus’s answer doesn’t make any sense. He tells Martha that only one thing is needed and Mary has chosen it. This being at the feet of Jesus to learn from Him. Something that Paul also added on in 1 Corinthians 7:34, when He said – The unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the work of the Lord, how she can be holy in both body and spirit. But the married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world, how she can please her husband. Most traditions are formed on the basis of giving pleasure to humans than they are to please the Lord. This was no different. Hence Jesus corrects Martha and gives her a different perspective to what she seems to understand about a woman’s role. Would it make sense this day if a woman chooses not to marry but to follow Christ? Would it make sense if she decides to make things of the Lord a priority to the things of her household? Does that then qualify us to judge this woman based on our understanding of tradition?

Mary Magdalene discovered something about Christ. Something pure, of great value and out of this world, and she could not allow herself to lose it. She was a woman confined and imprisoned by demonic spirits to a life that she didn’t plan for herself, but Jesus came and gave her a new meaning to life. Because of this gift, she fell deeply in love with Him. There was no human nor man who was like Him, who could give her what He was giving her. Jesus had given her fulfillment, He completed her. Because of that, nothing else mattered but Him. So, she completely lost herself in Christ, dedicated herself, her entire time and resources to His ministry. She truly believed in Him therefore, she gave herself to Him. Can you imagine a woman not being like this to a man, a husband who is transformed to this image of Christ? Would she not lose herself, completely give herself and dedicate all she has to him? There are many women who do all of that for men who are not anywhere close to a fraction of this image of Christ, and in the end they are broken, bitter and resentful. They were purely being women as they are designed, but their ‘help’ was misplaced. Jesus treasured these women. As a result, one who started doing such for Him encouraged others to do the same.

The Twelve were with Him, as well as some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Joanna the wife of Herod’s household manager Chuza, Susanna, and many others. These women were ministering to them out of their own means. – Luke 8:1-3

When you do good and see good you attract good. Women are responsive creatures than they are initiators. They are designed to reflect than to form, and they will reflect anything be it good or bad. Hence Paul says,

but the woman is the glory of man. – 1 Corinthians 11:7

They are in constant desire to showcase the man’s glory and to this day, that is what they are doing. Therefore, in all the labels they are given based on their behaviors, they are literally reflecting the glory of men in society. That is why when a woman finds Christ before she gets a husband, the possibility of her wanting to marry is zero to none, especially if she has a background similar to that of Mary Magdalene. She latches on to the beautiful, unconditional and authentic love of Christ. This was the case with Mary M.

I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste. He has brought me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love. – Song of Solomon 2:3-4

This is how a Mary Magdalene feels about Christ. When Jesus died, on the morning of the third day, Mary was the first at His grave to see if truly her Savior had risen. When she couldn’t find him, she went back to Peter and John to share what she had seen. They came and checked and indeed confirmed that He was not there. They left but she stayed behind. The one whom she loved was gone and she had no more promise to hold on to. All she needed now was His remains.

“Woman, why are you weeping?” Jesus asked. “Whom are you seeking?” Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him off, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and said to Him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”) – John 20:15

Jesus called her by name because He saw that she wasn’t seeing Him. It is then, that she saw Christ, whom she loved dearly. So is this with many women whom Christ has redeemed and calls by name. They are His and He is theirs, and love is the language that they are accustomed to with Him. They are forever grateful to Him for taking them from the dark pits where they were seen as nothing to the house of glory, and nothing can surpass that. With Him they realise and fulfill the purpose of their creation.

Perhaps men can learn to understand what the meaning of a Helper is as defined by God, rather than mistreating women, labeling them and expecting them to be everything that they desire. For a woman, Christ is to live and He is hope for love in its true form. He takes each one of them from gutter and cleanse them to give a true reflection of glory.

king’s delicacies

Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. ~ Genesis 2:10-11

Pishon represents a full flow of Spiritual intelligence and light into man’s consciousness producing divine ideas. This flow encompasses the whole space of effort or travail to manifest the spiritual ideas. The space of effort or travail [thinking] carries the spiritual treasures necessary for manifestation of ideas.

The Pishon element of our conscious mind requires that we nature and nourish the mind. Ours is only to keep the mind healthy and alive, so that when the Holy Spirit charges it, the spiritual intelligence is able to flow out, producing ideas and intellect unexplainable to man.

Whatever we do for our mind, we do through our bodies and because of that, what benefits the mind also benefits the brain. Exercise, meditation and the food that we eat play a major role in nourishing the mind. It has also been said that iron plays a huge role in the well-being of our minds. Therefore, greens; nuts and bananas are foods that we are championing for the health of the mind to keep our Pishon in a  continuous flow of intelligence that can be converted to gold.

We have tried out a smoothie that combines all of these (amended a little), thanks to Robyn Conley of realfoodwholelife.com, it is delicious. This recipe can be used either for breakfast, lunch or if one feels like a really light dinner.

  • 1/3 cup cashew nuts (or any other nuts)
  • 2 * Bananas
  • 1 * cup baby spinach (kale, lettuce or broccoli)
  • 2* tablespoons of oats (cooked)
  • 1 * cup of almond or soya milk (depending on the thickness you prefer)
  • 1 * tablespoon of cinnamon (or honey) – optional

Pour nuts, oats, bananas and spinach in the blender. Once smooth, add milk and cinnamon

Refrigerate for 15 – 30 minutes to serve it cool.

the hidden love

A dialogue between Thabile Khumalo and Mfesi Mayekiso. May it provoke you to want to find out more about what we are discussing. #Muchlove

I feel like I’m being awakened to love 😄🙈. That time when we were discussing the rose of Sharon, it looks like I only got a tip of it … Yho! love is beautiful. How can we be deprived of this? This Jesus. He is soaking me in it day by day. I tell you every woman needs this kind of love. This is the kind of love that melts iron. The interesting thing about it now is I’m beginning to see men who possess it. Satan blinds us to seek other things in men. But this! This is an answer for every woman’s cry. That thing you were saying about the beauty of a man that is fully surrendered to God. Shuuuuu!

~ Mfesi Mayekiso ~

Love is absolutely beautiful Mfesi that’s why the enemy fights the real thing when it comes to love, cause if we catch a glimpse of it we will reveal the True nature of God and he is finished. Aaaah! isn’t he the most handsome man you can ever find, this guy, is lowly in spirit, won’t harm a flower, healer of the broken, sees through pain and gives solution, fights the unjust, counsels kings with God’s wisdom. You know what, this guy is a lover, outside appearance is not his focus, he sees the beauty of a soul in front of him, he’s not looking to be worshiped, he knows he is good because God makes him good. His confidence may be interpreted as an ego to those who don’t know. When he worships the wind whispers, trees dance, water becomes sweeter. I can go on about this guy … 😄
