time for everything

1 There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven—
2 A time to be born and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw away stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.
6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to keep silent and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace
~ Ecclesiastes 3 amp ~

Jesus said in Luke 12:56, you hypocrites, you know how to analyse and intelligently interpret the appearance of the earth and sky, but why don’t you know how to intelligently interpret present time.

I have grown to a realisation that most of the times we toil, struggle and stress when we go through things, circumstances or situations because we don’t know the season we would be in at that time in our lives. When you know which season you are in, you are able to structure your life and strategize for it around the season. This, because we cannot skip seasons that have been set upon our individual lives, we just have to cooperate with them, endure them and make them bearable for us while in the process we are mindful of the lesson packaged for us in that season. It is temporary, it won’t last forever. Just like the earthly season last for a certain period and achieve what is necessary, so are the seasons in our lives, set for a certain period to achieve a certain purpose. We just have to know which season we are in so we can make ourselves comfortable for that time period.

I have also noticed that when you approach the end of each season your body will tell you. Pains, tiredness or illnesses and even pressure will rise up when you are approaching the end of a season. It is like driving a long distance. You are all energised when you are still travelling and make yourself comfortable because you know where you are going is far, so you psych yourself for the journey. But when you are approaching your destination, it is when you start feeling tired, cramps and all.

Know the season you are in so you can position yourself as well as get yourself comfortable for the time period because you can’t pray it to end. It has to outlive its period. You can’t change it, but you can change how you react to it because at the end of it comes promotion – elevation

May God bless us all with wisdom to know our individual seasons, not just, but also in the knowledge of the time we are now in, in this phase of life.

Blessed holidays!
